Abstract
Introduction, the first part presenting the chemistry of lanthanides and its photo-physical properties make lanthanides interesting topic, then show some factors govern the quality of designing lanthanide luminescent probe and affect the luminescent of lanthanides. Then illustrates some aspects in designing a luminescent based sensor. Final part of introduction is about pesticides, illustrates its definition, advantages and different types of pesticides classification, after that presenting a brief about the chemistry of organophosphorous pesticides, beginning by its structure and industrial production, then the environmental impact on both human, living species and its impact on water quality, then a general information about the mechanism by which pesticides move in environment and its transformation processes, finally review the detection methods used in monitoring pesticides in environment.
