Abstract

It describes the experimental part of the thesis. Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Fe(III) and Ag(I) Cytosine complexes were prepared in 1:1 ratio, while silver nanoparticles were prepared in1:10 (AgNO3: ligand) ratio and mixed ligand complexes of Cu(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) were prepared in 1:1:1 ratio (Cytosine: Isatin: metal).
The working procedures and standardization of the instruments used for the study were reported: 1H-NMR, IR, ESR of copper complexes, UV-Vis, magnetic susceptibility, thermal analysis (TGA, DTA and DTGA), SEM, energy dispersive x-ray, TEM and XRD. Some statistical studies were done using PC computer to obtain different correlation coefficients between the data. The experimental part with respect to biological activity study is given.
