Abstract

Deals with the introduction that includes types of water pollutants, structure of dyes, classification and properties of dyes, environmental effect of dyes, types of wastewater treatment, theory of electrocoagulation, reactions at the electrodes, configurations of electrocoagulation cells, pollutants removal mechanisms, using Aluminum as electrodes, using Iron as electrodes and advantages and disadvantages of electrocoagulation technique.
This chapter displays the applications of electrocoagulation technique in wastewater treatment and a literature survey on the previous work of these interactions.
