Abstract Integrated petrophysical analyses were conducted, using well logging techniques, in order to identify the source rock and reservoir characteristics of the Cretaceous/Paleocene sequence in the Adar oil field, Melut Basin, South Sudan. Data were collected from eleven wells to evaluate the source rocks and the reservoir potentialities. Furthermore, the obtained well logging data were correlated with the depositional settings of rocks comprising the studied sequence. Reservoir characterization was based on integrated geological, petrophysical, data for the accurate assessment of reservoir properties and their distributions among the area of study. |
