Abstract Studies were carried out in Assiut governorate, during the active season of (2018 – 2021). the experiments that benefit the study have done through laboratory tests and applied them in the field. Firstly, preparing inoculum for fermentation and diets preparation (un fermented & fermented); then the nutritional analysis of the diets and the preference and palatability by honeybee Apis mellifera was tested. The laboratory studies were done in Insect Research Laboratory, Plant Protection Research Institute on many aspects of differently aged honeybee workers (3, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18- days-old) of the first hybrid of Carniolan honeybee, Apis mellifera carnica workers in October 2019. The field studies were applied in the apiary on many colonies during the dearth season of (November2020-March2021). This study indicated the importance of improving the quality of the pollen substitute diet, through fermentation process to protect and save health of honeybee colonies |
