Abstract In pharmaceutical science, quinoxaline is one of the most significant heterocyclic scaffolds that are exposed to expansive research owed to its physicochemical features and biological activities(1) . Quinoxalines, also called benzopyrazine, are nitrogen containing aromatic heterocycle results from fusion of benzene ring to pyrazine moiety(2) . Chemically, unsubstituted quinoxaline has a melting point of 29-30 °C and a boiling point temperature of 108-111°/ 12 mm(3) . It is soluble in water and when handled with quaternizing agents such dimethyl sulphate or methyl p-toluene sulphonate, it generates unstable monoquaternary sal |
