Abstract
Chromosome abnormalities play a role in both early pregnancy loss and late pregnancy loss. In the second trimester, chromosomal abnormalities account for around 24% of miscarriages, and in the latter stages of the second
trimester, they account for about 12% of miscarriages. [12]. Trisomies 13, 18, and 21 as well as monosomy X (Turner syndrome) and sex chromosome polysomies are the most prevalent chromosomal abnormalities discovered in second trimester losses.
