Green walls are one of the methods that achieve a high degree of thermal insulation for the walls of the architectural spaces by taking advantage of the vegetation cover, where the green walls work to lower the temperatures inside the internal spaces and then thermal comfort is achieved for the users of the space and then reduce the energy consumed for the purposes of cooling and heating, thus achieving Energy efficiency, as well as reducing the environmental impact in the vicinity of the building by reducing carbon emissions and pollution, and to reach a reference list for the foundations and controls of design, the structural systems of green walls were studied, through the message that consists of three pillars that represent the scientific output to achieve thermal comfort by means of green walls They are:First, the theoretical corner: in it, the environmental impact of green walls and their role in achieving thermal comfort in educational spaces is studied by identifying green walls and vertical greening systems, studying the construction systems of facades, irrigation methods for plants, drainage of irrigation water, and how to install and maintain green walls.Second, the analytical corner: the global and local experiences of green walls were identified, in order to know and analyze the effect of green walls on spaces, and to identify the best construction systems, design determinants, and the best irrigation methods for green walls.Third, the applied corner: it contains the practical study, where the effect of using natural environmental treatment systems such as green walls in the facades of educational buildings in Egypt was studied on thermal comfort and environmental efficiency, using the simulation program (Design Builder) on an educational space for a multi-storey facade of the heat transfer and air conditioning laboratory space and laboratory vacuum The computer and the space of the architectural drawing hall, where this interface overlooks the collective arena for students to achieve thermal comfort within the educational space through the results It showed a reduction in energy consumption by 34% and a reduction in carbon dioxide by 30.8%, thus achieving thermal comfort inside the space, and through what has been clarified from the results of applying green walls on the building’s sides, it must be taken into consideration for its importance in achieving thermal comfort and reducing consumption Energy .
