Abstract Two field experiments conducted at Wadi El-Natrun, El-Beheira governorate, Egypt during 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of different sources of potassium and phosphorus fertilization i.e.; mineral, bio and natural, as well their interactions on growth, yield and quality of sugar beet plant.A split-split plot design with three replications was used included 18 treatments, represented the combination among three rates of mineral potassium combined to rock potassium (feldspar) fertilization, three rates of mineral phosphorus combined to rock phosphate fertilization as well two bio fertilizers, i.e. without and with mixture of bio fertilizers such as silicate dissolving bacteria i.e.Bacillus circulans for potassium, Serratia marcescens for phosphorus and Pseudomonas fluorescens bacteria as growth promoter. The bio-fertilization occupied the main plots, while the sub plots were assigned for phosphorus fertilization. Meantime, potassium rates were randomly distributed in the sub-sub plots. |
