Abstract
Objectives: to evaluate the effect of lentulo spiral, ultra-sonic-activation and EDDY sonic Powered” tips on Penetration of different sealers into dentinal tubules. Materials and Methods: sixty single rooted teeth were collected, then prepared up to Pro- taper Finishing File F4. Teeth were randomly divided into 3 main groups each of (20) spiecemen. Sealer with rhodamine B was applied with lentulo spiral as group(1), IRRI safe ultra-sonic tips as group (2) and EDDY tips as group (3).Each group was sub divided into Subgroup (A) utilize AH Plus sealer, and subgroup(B) utilize ceraseal bio ceramic sealer. Canals were obturated, the roots were section at 3-6 and 9mm level and examined using Confocal laser scanning microscope at 3 - 6 and 9mm level.Results: In all groups, the maximum depth, Percentage, and area of intra- tubular Sealer Penetration at 9 mm level was significantly greater than that at the 3 mm level.Conclusions: The depth and percentage of sealer penetration are influenced by type of placement technique and by the level of root canal with penetration decreasing apically.
