First: the problem of the study
During the last decade of the last century, human societies witnessed rapid and successive developments in communications and information technology, which facilitated the possibility of human and cultural communication. Perhaps the most important of these is the global information network “the Internet,” which is considered the most prominent human achievement in the information age. With the growing dependence of individuals on the Internet, the development of websites, and the versatility of uses, social networks such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and others have emerged. These networks have provided users with a virtual interactive environment, and thus the visitors or users of social media networks are called virtual communities.
The presence of the real individual in the virtual world has become imposed and unavoidable, and we have noticed that the social relationships that bind individuals today have become largely virtual social relationships. These relationships had many negative and positive effects, which led to the emergence of many social problems.
Social work is a humanitarian profession that aims to help individuals develop their resources, satisfy their needs, modify their attitudes, and solve their problems. Generalist practice represents a modern type of professional practice of social service that depends on selecting professional approaches and models and views social service as a unified, complete, and indivisible profession. Because the circle of development and prevention of problems begins with awareness and ends with change for the better, if we want to change our reality in a better way, we must interpret, understand, and analyze this reality correctly, and therefore we must possess theoretical knowledge that enables us to analyze, interpret, and develop various programs.
Based on the above and on what has been presented from previous studies, the problem of the study can be defined in two main
questions: “What are the social problems resulting from girls having virtual relationships and what is the proposed program to raise girls’ awareness about these problems?”
Second: The importance of the study
1- The concept of virtual relationships is relatively new.
2- The prevalence of this type of relationship may be an indication of the current changes that societies are going through, which make the future of social relations questionable.
3- Individuals’ preference for such relationships may result in many social problems.
4- The importance of the girl’s category, as girls is future mothers and family builders.
5- The lack of scientific studies that dealt with hypothetical relationships within the limits of the researcher’s knowledge.
Third: Concepts of the study
1- Virtual relationships concept.
2- Social problems concept.
3- Consciousness concept.
4- Generalist practice concept.
Fourth: Objectives of the study

3- Identifying the problems of cybercrime resulting from girls having virtual relationships.
The second objectives: coming up with a proposed program from the generalist social work practice perspective to raise girls’ awareness of the social problems arising from virtual relationships.
Fifth: Study Questions
The study questions are represented in two main questions:
The first question: What are the social problems resulting from girls having virtual relationships?
In order to answer the main question, several sub-questions must be answered:
1- What is the problem of lack of privacy resulting from girls having virtual relationships?
2- What are the problems of moral turmoil resulting from girls having virtual relationships?
3- What are the problems of cybercrime resulting from girls having virtual relationships?
The second question: What is the proposed program from the generalist social work practice perspective to raise girls’ awareness of the social problems arising from virtual relationships?
