المستخلص The variations in the intensity of exothermic and endothermic peaks in the analyzed samples can be explained by variations in the quantity of water or CO2 adsorbed. Furthermore, the significant residual weight of the sample observed at the highest experimental temperature 700 °C is probably due to the formation of different metal oxides. DSC was recorded under a flow of N2 at a heating rate of 10 oC/min in the temperature range of 25-700 oC. Exothermic peaks which represent the crystallization and the shift to more ordered arrangements appeared clearly in the samples Ed1, Ed4, Ed6, Ed9, Mr5, Mr10, and Mr11.Sediment analysis was applied to winter and summer seasons and the measured parameters were summarized as follows The pH of the sediment in Lake Edku ranged from 6.80 at St. Ed9 during the summer to 7.38 at St. Ed9 during the winter. In Edku Drains, it ranged between 6.52 at Khairy Drain during the summer and 7.31 at Khairy Drain during the winter. As well, the pH of the sediment in Lake Mariut ranged from 6.56 at St. Mr9 during the summer to 7.51 at St. Mr3 during the winter. In Mariut Drains, it ranged between 6.68 at Qalaa Drain during the summer and 7.86 at Nubaria Canal during the winter. |
