Introduction
The rapid changes and the information and communication revolution led to the need for educational organizations - including public secondary schools - to keep pace with these changes. It made it imperative for the principals of those schools to interact closely with the external environment and invest their resources properly to reach the best desired results. Many modern administrative approaches have emerged that have influenced and developed administrative work. It was a support for organizations to improve their performance and support administrative processes within them to ensure the continuity of the growth of activities within them and to prevent threats facing the continuity of their growth, including the entrance to risk management. The impact of undesirable events that result in losses and work to reduce their negative effects to ensure the achievement of its objectives and the preservation of its assets.
Research problem
Despite the efforts made by the Egyptian state represented by the Ministry of Education to improve the managerial practices of principals of general schools and public secondary schools in particular, the managerial practices of principals of public secondary schools still suffer from many shortcomings, such as the poor awareness of the principals of public secondary schools of the importance of analyzing the External environment. Foreign affairs as a major component of planning, poor availability of data and the ability to use and link it to the planning process, weakness of the organizational culture in general education schools, especially general secondary education due to the weak application of quality standards, in addition to the absence of constructive human relations between the school administration team, and the absence of an integrated institutional system for oversight The follow-up is centered on the results achieved, which warns of the existence of risks that limit the school principal’s achievement of the goals he seeks. Accordingly, the research problem was formulated in the following question:
How can the managerial practices of public secondary school principals in the Arab Republic of Egypt be developed in the light of risk management?
A group of the following sub-questions branched out from this main question:
1- What are the intellectual foundations of school principals’ managerial practices in the light of risk management??
2- What is the reality of the managerial practices of public secondary school principals in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the light of risk management from the perspective of official documents and reports?
3- What is the current state of the managerial practices of public secondary school principals in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the light of risk management - from the point of view of the sample members?
4- What are the proposed procedures for developing the managerial practices for principals of public secondary schools in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the light of risk management?
Research aims
1- Identifying the intellectual foundations of the managerial practices of school principals and developing them in the light of risk management.
2- Identifying the reality of the managerial practices of public secondary school principals in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the light of risk management.
3- Identifying the current situation of managerial practices for principals of public secondary schools in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the light of risk management - from the point of view of the sample.
4- Reaching proposed procedures for developing managerial practices for principals of public secondary schools in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the light of risk management.
Research methodology and tools:
In The light of the research problem and its objectives, the research follows the descriptive approach as it is the appropriate approach to the nature of the subject, the Research Also Use a questionnaire Tool and Was directed to the secondary school principals, their agents and unit officials.
Research Chapters
The research chapters are as follows:
Chapter One:
This chapter is included the general framework of the research: the introduction of the research, the research problem, the limits of the research and its objectives, the importance of the research, research sources and tools, research terms, previous studies, research methodology, and its steps.
Chapter Two:
This chapter reviewed managerial practices, their concept and classifications of managerial practices of general secondary school principals, risk management in secondary schools, concept and characteristics, importance and objectives, types and classifications, processes and steps, and administrative practices of the secondary stage. School principals in the light of risk management.
Chapter Three:
This chapter reviewed the reality of managerial practices of public secondary school principals in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the light of risk management (an analytical study) for secondary education and its objectives, how to select and train school principals and the reality of their managerial practices in the light of risk management.
Chapter Four:
This chapter reviewed the reality of managerial practices of public secondary school principals in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the light of risk management from the point of view of the research sample, using the questionnaire addressed to (436) public secondary school principals, their agents and unit officials to identify the obstacles to their development and proposals for their development from the point of view of a sample search.
Chapter Five:
This chapter reviewed the results of the research based on the theoretical framework and theoretical and field studies. It came up with suggested measures to develop the managerial practices of public secondary school principals in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the light of risk management.
