His mercy includes all that exists, and prayers and peace be upon the messenger of his mercy for all existence, and the owner of the Maqam Al-Mahamud, and the basin supplied, and upon his companions kneeling prostration.And after The image is one of the most important tools that the creator is concerned with in building his poem, and with it he depicts his feelings and feelings, expresses his thoughts, empowers himself, and what he has different situations, and therefore the image is one of the means by which the creator conveys to the recipient his emotion and his experience that he has experienced.The image has been the subject of attention of poets since ancient times until modern times, and the modernists have meant the formation and construction of their images, and linked them with the elements of literary work, so it has become a landmark, a distinguishing feature, a sign indicating the development and change that affects the different eras of literature, and gives a picture of the environmental reality lived by the creator, it is a trace of the soul whose vision was formed from the reality that the poet lives. Thus, a poetic text is not devoid of an image and its patterns, and the poet cannot organize his poem without an artistic image, as it is a basic building block of poetic work, it has its own distinctive entity and its own splendor, and therefore it has its impact and value in the construction of literary work.This research aims to study the artistic image in Maarouf Al-rusafi’s poetry, in terms of its sources, styles and themes.- Reasons for choosing a topicand its importance:1-Maarouf Al-rusafi is a great poet of Arabic poets in the modern era, and one of the Great Classical Poets in modern Iraqi poetry.2-the clarity of the impact of the environmental reality and the societal environment in his poetry, he lived through one of the most difficult and harsh periods of Iraq, after England occupied his homeland.3-identify the sources of the image, its themes and patterns in the poet’s poetry.4-the diversity of the poetic arts at rusafi, and then the diversity of the image and its sources in his poetry.5-the sobriety of the poet’s poetry and its distance from the cost, filling and complexity.- Study limits :The research is based on the study of the image in the divan of Maarouf Al – rusafi, which was published by the General Authority for Cultural Palaces in Cairo – the fifth edition-2004, which was presented to him by Dr. Abdel Hakim Rady, and the divan is located in five hundred and eighty-one pages of the intermediate pieces, and includes a large number of poems that allow this research to come out as I wish it to come out, to gain satisfaction and acceptance.- Research methodology :The study will be based on the descriptive, synchronous, real-time or real-time approach, which proves the phenomenon by researching the art of the image, the time period in which the poet organized his divans, in addition to relying on the mechanisms of the method and its auxiliary tools from Statistics and analysis, and from auxiliary sciences such as political, social, historical, artistic studies and others.
