Abstract
”The corrosion of metals is a great problem,which faced the world from the last years until now. We can reduce ―inhibit‖ it by several methods as the environment need. This work discusses the corrosion of C-steel in 0.5M H2SO4.The aim of this work contains three chapters. The first chapter :This chapter deals with the introduction, which includes definition of corrosion, importance of corrosion, classification of corrosion, various forms of corrosion, theories of corrosion, methods of corrosion protection, natural inhibitors, literature survey and the aim of the present work. The second chapter: This chapter deals with the experimental techniques, which includes the chemical composition of the investigated material, preparation of the used solutions, test samples and treatment, the instruments, the procedures
used for the corrosion measurements such as weight loss , electrochemical (potentiodynamic and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy ) techniques and surface examination.The third chapter.This chapter deals with the results obtained and their interpretations.This chapter is divided into four separated parts: A, B, C and D. ”
