Abstract Five hundred eighty urine samples from patients were collected.Of which 423(72.93%) were from females and rest 157(27.07%) samples were from males. Out of all cases, 404 cases were give positive results in urine culture from 580 cases with a prevalence rate of 69.65%.The count of females and male positive cases was 325 and 79 respectively. The total number of bacterial isolates in this investigation was 411 isolates isolated from 404 cases (samples). A total of 411 isolates were classified according to Gram reaction as follows. Gram negative bacteria (GNB) were 329 isolates (80.05%) while Gram positive bacteria (GPB) were represented 82 isolates (19.95%). Antibiotic sensitivity test were carried out on 411 studied bacterial isolates by using 9 different antibiotics by disc diffusion method. Detection of some virulence factors of the identified bacterial species were also investigated. All purified isolates were tested for proteolysis activity. The count of positive isolates was 270 with percentage (65.69%).Detected Int1gene (Trimethoprim/Sulfamethoxazole resistance gene) by using PCR of twenty isolates of Klebsiella sp. isolates according to the largest diameter clearing zone of proteolysis activity and give zero zone of Trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole resistance (the highest degree of resistance). |
