Abstract

The thesis includes three main chapters in addition to the English and Arabic summary. Chapter one involves a general introduction to electrochemistry, explaining the voltammetric techniques in summary, such as linear sweep voltammetry, square wave voltammetry, anodic stripping voltammetry, cathodic stripping voltammetry, and differential pulse voltammetry. After that, the introduction explains in detail the cyclic voltammetry technique as an appropriate analytical technique that has wide￾range applications. The explanation of the cyclic voltammetry method was based on these illustrations: the theory of the cyclic voltammetry. the electrochemical setup in the cyclic voltammetry, and the used electrodes in the electrochemical setup. Then, the introduction provides a detailed explanation of each type of electrode, including the best and most commonly used electrodes. Also, the most common electrolytes used as supporting media and the most commonly used solvents were mentioned in the introduction. Furthermore, the introduction provides an explanation of the electrode >processes, including mass transfer, electron transfer, and surface reactions. Then some literature surveys on the use of the cyclic voltammetry method in numerous applications were provided. Moreover, chapter one includes in the second part a general introduction to Schiff bases and their distinctive applications in different fields, particularly the preparation of multi metallic complexes and their uses as therapeutic agents. Finally, literature surveys of the preparation of Schiff base complexes and their applications were provided.Chapter two includes the different methodologies that were performed
