Abstract This study aimed to investigate the direct and indirect effects of high performance work systems on flourishing at work through the mediating role of employee agility for Mansoura university employees. This research adopts a quantitative method as a research methodology. Hence, data were gathered from 357 employees. The software (Warp PLS 7.0) was applied to test the research hypotheses. The findings of the current study revealed that high performance work systems have a significant direct positive effect on employee agility. There is a significant relationship between employee agility and flourishing at work. Additionally, the findings also showed that high performance work systems have a significant direct positive effect on flourishing at work. Finally, the employee agility mediates the relationship between high performance work systems and flourishing at work.
