Abstract

Some males in Egypt use cannabis and tramadol to potentiate their sexual functions and delay ejaculation.
A lot of studies have investigated the relationship between cannabis, tramadol use, serum testosterone levels, and different aspects of male sexual functions.
Studies have contradictory results regarding the effect of cannabis on male sexual functions, as some studies show a deleterious effect on sexual functions while others show a beneficial effect, and others show no effect of it on male sexual functions.
Many studies show that tramadol use has a beneficial effect on premature ejaculation, but other studies show its negative effect on male sexual functions.
Aim of the conducted study:
The aim of the study is to compare the prevalence of sexual dysfunction among cannabis and tramadol abusers with the prevalence among general population samples.
The current study was conducted over 120 male volunteers during the period from October 2022 through September 2023.
All patients aged 18–45 years old, classified into 3 groups (40 participants using cannabis, 40 participants using tramadol, and 40 control that are not using any of both substances), do not have any associated medical or psychiatric conditions that can affect sexual functions, nor in detoxification or withdrawal symptoms, and accept to participa
