Abstract

Eight hundred fishes from both marine and fresh water aquaria from January, 2019 to September, 2022 were collected as four hundred from each of them, 240 examined blood samples from fresh water fishes for detection of blood parasite, from both fresh water fish species 120 Cyprinus carpio fish and 120 Clarias gariepinus. Seven marine fishes species were collected for parasitological and pathological examination. Blood samples were collected for blood parasites identification. External examination of crustaceans parasites was done. Isopod samples were recovered from both branchial cavity and skin of five marine fish. Internal examination was applied on flesh and internal organs. Trypanorenchea spp. Tetraphyllidean spp. and hysterothylacium was found .
Two hundred eight fresh water fishes were infected with trematode and nematode parasites. One hundred and sixty nine fresh water fishes were infected with encysted metacercaria. Sixty four infected fresh water fishes were infected with Camallanus camallanus while mixed infection was recorded in 27 fishes .
The examination of 240 blood samples from fresh water fishes were positive to blood parasite Babesiosoma spp from both fresh water fish species . Hematological and serum biochemical analysis and electron microscopy were performed. Pathological alterations in skin and internal organ associated with infestation were fully described .
Our work aimed to evaluate the most common parasitic infestation in both marine and fresh water fish with highlight on survey on some marine and fresh water fish parasites in Egypt, provide full data about isolated parasites including their identification, taxonomy, prevalence rate and target infested fishes tissue. Provide full pathological description for different organs of infested fishes.
Special studies on blood parasites with Accurate identification including blood film , PCR , EM and execute some biochemical and hematological analysis on infested fresh water fishes.
