Abstract

The focus will be on the extraction, isolation, and structural elucidation of secondary metabolites
obtained from various natural sources. One of the most important bee products is royal jelly, which is
highly valued for its richness in proteins. One such biologically active protein isolated from royal jelly
is royalisin, composed of 51 amino acids. In another study, our aim is to synthesize royalisin using the
solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) method. We concentrate on the chemical examination of specific
fatty peptides in B. subtilis. Here, the GNPS approach, along with LC-MS/MS, was utilized as a powerful
technique to identify the structure of fatty peptides from these bacteria. Additionally, we aim for
comprehensive plant chemical profiling alongside targeted isolation by assessing antimicrobial
activities of novel metabolites from the known gum arabic. Chemical investigation of AG led to the
identification of seven new compounds. The structures of these compounds were elucidated using MS
and NMR, along with comprehensive analysis and comparison of two types of Lantana genus using MS
concerning their cytotoxic and antioxidant activities. Targeted MS profiling of methanol extracts also
led to the preliminary identification of 59 compounds.
