Abstract

Summary and Conclusions
This summary includes the conclusions of both theoretical and empirical study:
Summary of Results
The following general results can be drawn as a result of Theoretical and experimental study:
1. The study provided a comprehensive assessment of the role played by handicrafts, as the study saw the extent of its impact on the process of tourist attraction and the turnout of tourists and visitors to the New Valley area.
2. According to the results of the questionnaire and interviews, tourists pay great attention to buying handicrafts during their trip to the New Valley.
3. According to the results of the questionnaire, the New Valley is not known to many tourists, so it is in need of tourism and media promotion.
4. There is a positive impact of handicrafts on the process of tourist attractions in the New Valley .
5. There is a significant and positive relationship between crafts and handicrafts as an important factor in attracting tourists to the New Valley
6. Most of the nationalities of the sample coming to the New Valley were Egyptian , German and Swiss.
7. According to the results of the questionnaire, the tourists who Their ages range between (20-40) They are the ones who buy tours to the New Valley, and they buy heritage products during the visit.
8. The main objectives were to enhance the role of products and handicrafts, to activate their role and exploit them in the process of attracting tourists to the New Valley, and to encourage tourists to buy tours for this tourist destination.
9. -Most of the tourists relied on social media and travel agencies while planning to visit the New Valley.
10. Most of the tourists prefer to visit the New Valley with their friends and family members.
11. Most tourists, in order to obtain sufficient information about the New Valley in order to obtain a tourist service that satisfies them during their tourist tour, use social networking sites Facebook.
12. The current marketing trend for advertising and media is digital, and through the results of the questionnaire and interviews, we find that tourists rely on obtaining information about handmade products through social media platforms.
13. The highest three dimensions that came to the New Valley tourist’s interest in acquiring and purchasing handicrafts were ceramics, wickerwork, and sand-coated wooden panels.
14. The highest three handicrafts most popular with tourists in terms of demand are porcelain, wicker, and sandblasted wooden paintings.
Conclusion of the Study:
The main purpose of this study is Assessing the role of handicrafts and their impact on the tourist turnout in the New Valley Governorate, in addition to establishing a relationship that links tourists with environmental products and urging them to acquire them to ensure the formation of a link and a mental image of the place so that the area is visited many times.
This study aims to confirm the importance of handicrafts as one of the tourist attractions. as we mentioned before Hence, this study attempted to expose the concept of handicrafts from the point of view of tourists, tourism managers, experts and craftsmen .As for the tourists, the study applied the paper questionnaire. As for the managers and artisans who own handicrafts, the interview survey was applied.
There are seven main objectives of this research; All of which have been achieved, these objectives are:-
The most important handicrafts that the New Valley is famous for; Learn about the types of handicrafts in the New Valley; Learn about the tourist attractions in the New Valley. ; Highlighting the role of handicrafts and how to exploit them to attract tourists to the New Valley; Shedding light on the problems facing craft owners in developing and marketing these crafts and providing ideas to solve the problems facing the handicrafts and tourism sector in the tourist destination, highlighting the role provided by government agencies to promote tourism and develop handicrafts in the New Valley .
The research succeeded in testing four questions and answering them First: the importance of handicrafts in the New Valley . Second: Most types of handicrafts that characterize the New Valley . Third: Challenges and obstacles facing the use of handicrafts as a tourist attraction in the New Valley . Fourth: The role of government agencies in developing handicrafts in the New Valley . the Fifth and last question is : How to market handicrafts in the New Valley for tourism purposes .
As mentioned in the previous chapter, the results of the study achieved all its objectives. Moreover, the study met the answer to the five questions of the study.
Providing tourist services in the governorate, especially in cafeterias, tourist villages and highways. It can be concluded in the end that the traditional industry and craftsmanship can be adopted as an effective tool for reviving the local economy and stimulating tourism in the province, and enhancing its role in attracting tourists, as interest contributes to its support and development.
To promote tourism and the tourism product, especially from what is known from the interest of tourists, especially foreigners, in acquiring tourist souvenirs. Rather, the demand for them increases, especially in the tourist season, such as antiques made of metal and stone, as well as wood and leather works of all kinds.
Spending on them contributes to bringing in hard currency, and for that, if the focus is on those products and the strengthening of their sector in the field of tourism, this would raise the status of tourism in the region and improve its economic conditions, thus reviving the economic sector as an important resource that brings internal and external benefits to the region. If it is invested and activated as required.
The study concluded, by reviewing previous literature and researching the tourism and craft sectors, the following:
1. Preserving the survival of handicrafts from extinction through programs aimed at reviving the cultural and artisanal heritage , protecting the rest of these crafts in general.
2. The prominent role played by the two sectors in raising the economic standard of living for the oasis community.
3. Work in the tourism and handicraft sectors contributes significantly to creating new job opportunities for young people.
4. Raising the efficiency of workers in crafts as a reason to develop the product in terms of form and increase production and quality.
5. Increasing the marketing of the product depends on opening new markets locally and globally, and thus spreading the artisanal product in various parts. Therefore, you must do the following:
- Valuing the natural, historical and cultural potentials and employing them to serve the tourism field. Particular attention should be paid to promoting tourism and handicraft products.
- Providing tourist services in the governorate, especially in cafeterias, tourist villages, and highways.
