Abstract The current study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of a program based on educational infographics in developing reading comprehension skills and phonological awareness of EFL secondary Stage students. The participants of the study were 64 students. They were divided into two groups: an experimental group (n=32) and a control one (n=32). The experimental group was taught using educational infographics, while the control group received regular instruction. This study adopted the quasi-experimental design. The study instruments were EFL reading comprehension and phonological awareness tests with a rating scale. They were administrated to the study participants before and after the treatment. The treatment was implemented during the second semester of the academic year 2022-2023. The data obtained were statistically analyzed, The results revealed that using educational infographics was effective in developing EFL reading comprehension and phonological awareness skills among second-year secondary school students. Thus, it is recommended that teachers and curriculum designers pay attention to educational infographics and its effective role in developing EFL reading comprehension and phonological awareness skills for secondary stage students.
