Abstract
Several reports investigated the contribution of GEMIN4*(rs2740348 and rs7813) variants with multiple cancerous disorders including BLCA, but without definitive outcomes. The main purpose of this constructed work is to evaluate the involvement of these variants with the susceptibility to BLCA using genetic analysis, bioinformatic tools, and computational biology. This study included 249 participants (121 BLCA patients and 128 unrelated cancer-free controls) matching with age, gender, and geographic district. Allelic discrimination for the GEMIN4*(rs2740348 and rs7813) variants was established using PCR technique. Subgroup stratification was established utilizing multivariate regression analysis. Structural prediction for GEMIN4 protein was performed using AlphaFold2 prediction tool. Furthermore, haplotype analysis, MDS, structural analysis, and residue interaction networks were carried out using Haploview, Desmond, ChimeraX, and Cytoscape.
