Abstract
Shrinkage and marginal leakage are common problems annoy many dental patients, also esthetics is the main demand. So new composite techniques have been used to overcome these problems, preserve tooth structure, prevent recurrent caries, good seal with tooth structure, and good esthetics.The present research studied the clinical evaluation of direct and indirect composite resin. Twenty patients (40 molar teeth) (n=20) of an age ranging between (20-45) were participated in this study. Class II cavity was prepared according to caries extension with moderate cavity depth 3_4 mm. All internal angles were rounded, and all edges terminated in the enamel. The finishing lines were entirely within the enamel and margins were kept supragingival. In case of deep caries, it was removed with excavator, Calcium hydroxide was applied to the deep areas, followed by resin-modified glass ionomer liner. group I: Indirect CAD/CAM composite inlay techni.
