Abstract
The interesting pharmacological properties of quinoline derivatives led us to study the various changes in the structure of this compound, to synthesize some less toxic and more potent drugs. One of these variations is the introduction of heterocyclic moieties in the 3-position of the quinolone. (I) Reaction of 3-Acetyl-1,2,3.4-tetrahydro-2.4-dioxo-1-phenyl-quinoline (1) with Amines and Diamines: Treatment of 3-acetyl derivative (1) with the appropriate aromatic amines gave the corresponding anil derivatives (2a-g).
