Abstract
This investigation was principally carried out to make a systematic survey of soil algae in general and soil blue-green algae in particular in the Delta region to produce a distribution map for the dominant algal species aiming to develop region specific, stress compatible cyanobacteria for soil inoculation of different localities of Delta. The study was also extended to characterize the most dominant nitrogen-fixing blue-green algae in the studied areas.
