Abstract The layer thickness and resistivities have been calibrated through the correlation with the available bore holes data in the area. Also, The lithologic information from bore hole data, surface geology, and the present layer resistivities indicate three major lithofacies from top to bottom : i) Holocene clay and silt which attains resistivities ranging from < 1 ohm.m up to less than 10 ohm.m. ii) Pleistocene sands, having resistivity values ranging from 10 ohm.m to 60 ohm.m It includes also the holocene channel sands. iii) The third lithofacies unit of coarse sand and gravels have resistivity values greater then 60 ohm.m till nearly 300 ohm.m. |
