Abstract
The investigated area is located in the southern part or the Western Desert it is confined between latitudes 23º 00’ -30’23 N, and longitudes 29° 00’ - 30º 00’ E. The area of study covers some of 2450 km². The investigated area is differentiated into several geomorphic units that essentially created by climatic, lithological and structural controls. Two depressions are recognized in the study area, the Bir Tarfawi and Atmur ElL-Kebeish.
