Abstract The present study was carried out using one available gallium- based dental alloy (Galloy), and two high copper dental amalgam systems, one of the admixed type (GS.80), and the other is unicompositional Lojic). A total number of 195 samples were prepared according to manufacturer’s instructions and ADA specifications no and classified into four groups: Group A: 15 samples, (5 of each alloy type), were constructed for testing the as-prepared microstructure, using scanning electron microscope. Group B: 30 samples, (10 of each alloy type), were constructed for :sting the potentiodynamic corrosion, using potentiogalvano scan. Five samples of each alloy type were tested in 0.1% NaCI electrolytic solution, d another five were tested in 1% NaC1 electrolytic solution. Group C: 75 samples, (25 of each alloy type), were constructed for szing the hardness, using Vicker’s microhardness tester five samples. |
