The over whelming majority of employees, particularly in developing countries, depend on their income from their jobs. And since this income is directly proportional to their phyxical or mental abilities we can deduce that the income gradually decreases till its stops when the employee becomes unable to work at a certain age. THus, old age insurance aims at compensating the employees or the insured for their income lost due to reaching a certain age.
