Abstract

The present work is assigned to synthesis a new monomer by reacting acryloyl chloride with different organic compounds capable to react with it and give the desired monomers. By polymerization reaction of these monomers one can obtain polymers having different function groups according to the chemical structure of the starting materials. As the polymer that could be obtained differ from each other in their chemical structure they could be applied in different fields of application after its complete characterization using the conventional techniques such as elemental analysis, solubility, molecular weight determination, spectroscopic analysis and thermal analysis. Besides the fictionalization of these acrylic polymers are expected to be used in different areas such as recovery of heavy metals from their aqueous solution and also as polymeric stabilizers for PVC.
