Abstract Cerebrospinal fluid fistulae are life threatening because of the expected lethal complications. The main treatment rationales include conservative treatment and operative interference. This study was carried out to compare the different surgical approaches used in the management of cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea. This study revealed the following results: Exclusion of increased intracranial tension before closure of the basilar skull fistulae.The present management algorithms are successful with taking care of good preoperative localization of the fistulae, sound preparation of the graft reception bed, treating increased intracranial tension before repair. |
