Abstract Fracture of the tibial plateau is one of the most hazardous fractures. This type of fracture requires accurate diagnosis and management to obtain satisfactory long-term outcome. There is a debate about the perfect way to manage these fractures, with the use of different modality of treatment either operative or nonoperative treatment. This work aimed to : (1) Analyze the epdimiolgy of the tibial plateau fractures. (2) Study the cause of injuries, age, sex, and type of fractures and their relation to each other and to the results of the treatment. (3) Study the difference between younger patients and patients over the age of 65 years of age as regards the type of fracture and the results after treatment. (4) Compare between the type of fracture management and their relation to the final results of patients over the age of 65 years old; and that for patients under that age. (5) Study. the results of each type of fractures according to Schatzker classification. (6) Study the relation between the AO classification and the results of the patients.
