Abstract Transurethral resection of prostate (TURP) is surgically performed patients. Neurological of the most common for urological such as irritability, restlessness, nausea vomiting can be during and have been frequently observed in these after surgery. Mostly these attributed to incipient TUR-. absorption of the electrolyte-free fluid. We hypothesized that patients to TURP may also have a limitation in their oxygen delivery and/or cerebral blood flow regulation. The objective of the s study was to verify whether the central nervous system manifestations emerged during TURP which were usually attributed to absorption of irrigating fluid and its squealed might associated with an imbalance of global cerebral oxygen supply/demand ratio. Thirty patients scheduled for TURP were included in the study. |
