Abstract This study was conducted on thirty patients submitted for various surgical procedures to evaluate haemodynamic effect of d-tubocurarine, pancuronium and amixture of both on patients free from cardiovascular diseases All patients were subjected to pre-operative clinical examination & laboratory investigations to exclude other coexisting diseases and toevaluate their general condition All patients were premedicated with atropine sulphate 0.02 mg/kg body weight and anaesthesia was induced by thiopentone sodium Smg/kg body weight Succinyl choline lmg/kg was used to facilitate endotracheal intubation and anaesthesia was maintained by N-;” " ~ " ”O:Ow (60/40)d-Tubocurarine was given to the first group of patients in a dose of 0 5mg/kg body weight pancuronium was given to the 2nd group in a dose of 0.06mg/kg and a mixture of both was given to the third group of patients in a dose of 0 25 mg/kg d-tc+O 03 mg /kg pancuronium Pulse and blood pressure were ’recorded just before induction of anaesthesia, 5 minutes after intubation and every 5 minutes after administration of d-tc pancuronium and a mixture of both till 30 minutes. The data obtained were tabulated,and analyzed statistically. |
