Abstract This study was conducted on 16 patients submitted to closed itral commissurotomy in Mansoura university hospitals, They ere randomly classified into two groups (8) patients per each roup) according to the type of Anesthesia, The first group received iopenton IV for induction and isoflurane as maintaince naesthetic. The second group received a combination of ketamine nd midazolam by continuos intravenous infusion according to a reset regimen. Hemodynamic data were recorded via an invasive rterial catheter and a pulmonary artery catheter at five time points. Data were collected and analyzed statistically. It was that both techniques of Anesthesia could achieve a stable hemodynamic profile with preservation of the cardiac output and without adding more effort on the already compromised myocardial muscle in those patients. |
