Abstract
Pharmacological Study on Phentanyl andDehydrobenzperidol Mixture: Phentanyl and dehydrobenzperidol mixture ispresented under the brand name Thalamonal. contains 0.05 mg phentanyl and 2.5 mg dehydrobenzperidol). This mixture was investigated: I. Toxicologically. II. Pharmacologically. I. Toxicological Studies: S.C. median lethal dose of thalamonal was determined on albino mice.LD 50 Thalamonal was injectedS.C. in various dose levels with increments at equal log intervals. Results were calculated by Litchfield and Wilcoxon method using probability logarithmic paper to plot the slope of dose percent effect curve. LD 50 Was found to be 42 ml per kg body weight.
