Abstract The aim of this work is a trial to clarify the, immunological status of the lower respiratory tract in cases of lung cancer and it’s relation to systemic immunological pattern by using the bronchoalveolar lavage as a research tool and comparing it to peripheral blood results This study included 24 cases with bronchogenic carcinoma 16 male and 8 female and 12 healthy subjects as a control group The malignant cases were divided into 3 groups- • Squarnous cell carcinoma (10 cases), • Small cell carcinoma (7cases), • Adenocarcinoma (7 cases). All cases were submitted to - Thorough history taking and clinical examination.Investigation included * Plain chest x-raY • Urine and stool examination. 6 Complete haemogram. • Blood sugar.6 sputum for acid fast bacilli * Bronchoscopy, and BAL for T lymphocytes subsets and natural killer cells. |
