Abstract
This work is conducted over all the pathological specimens sent by the Department of the Ear, Nose and Throat, in the Mansourah University Hospital, for biopsy. A survey is done for the incidence of Cancer Larynx in general, and the age and sex incidences in particular. The results are nearly like those accepted and published in the world. The pathological findings in this work show that both the psuedo-sarcomatous carcinoma and the leiomyo-sarcoma can occur in the larynx. One case is met with for each type. Subglottic laryngeal cancer is found to form 3 % in this study. On the contrary, this is not the role for this area in which it is uncommon for cancer to develop in this region. This controverse may be due to the small number of the cases which usually may cause a high statistical error.
