Abstract
The present study comprised 45 patients of MVP, 29 females and 16 males with age ranging from 6-33 years with isolated MVP and 23 normal individual as control group of matched age and sex was also included in the study. Our test group classified according to the severity of MVP into mild MVP (23 cases), moderate MVP (13 cases), and severe MVP (9 cases). Cases with rheumatic heart disease, congenital heart disease, ischaemic heart disease, cardiomyopathy, hypertension & COPD were excluded from the study. All cases (include control group) exposed to full clinical examination, electrocardiographic, echocardiographic . examination and some autonomic function tests. Clinical examination include weight, height, span upper body measurements, lower body measurements, chest circumference during inspiration & expiration, ,some hand measurements, in addition to pulse, B.P., abdominal examination, chest and heart examination (Click and/or murmur).
