Abstract Evention and treatment of CMV infection in renal allograft recipients, it might be possible to reduce the incidence of TRAS which is a significant cause of graft failure. The study was divided into two pans: a retrospective and prospective pans. 133 Transplant renal artery stenosis (TRAS) has been associated with ’vascular and definitely cellular rejection which, undoubtedly, can lead ’to gran dysfunction. Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection has previously implicated in stenosis and re-stenosis of coronary arteries and accelerated vasculopathy in cardiac allografts. A similar relationship can be postulated between transplant renal artery stenosis (TRAS) and CMV infection. We have conducted this observational controlled study on 75 TRAS cases. |
