Abstract
The aim of the present study was to study the changes in different haemorrheological parameters in patients with bilharzial corpulmonale in comparison to normal control and with bilharzial Ilepatic fibrosis without corpulmonale in order to evaluate the role of such changes the aetiopathology of the syndrome and to correlate such changes ifpresent with some radiological, electrocardiographic and echocardiographic parameters detected in such patients. The material of the present study comprised of: Twenty patients wi th bilharzial corpulmonale, (BCP) 18 males and 2 females with ages ranging from 25-63 years seclected from the outpatient clinic of cardiology Mansoura University Hospital. Twenty patients with bilharzial hepatic fibrosis, (BHF). 18 males and 2 females with ages ranging from 24-58 years. ten normal subject as control, 5 males and 5 females with ages ranging from 22-61 years. The group of bilharzial corpulmonale were further the following subgroups: According to the presence of pulmonary aneurysm in chest radiology:- a) Non aneurysmal subgroup comprised 10 patients with MPAO <6 em.
