Abstract
The present study is a retrospective study involving 262 cases of NHL registered in Clinical Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Department, Mansoura University Hospital during the period 1984 - 1993. Relative frequency of NHL to all lymphomas was 66.7% and to all malignancies was 6%• Intermediate-garde NHL was the commonest histologic type encountered especially the diffuse large cell type (57.3% of cases). Mean age was 51 years, 46 years and 19.5 years in the low, intermediate and high-grades respectively. The male to female ratios were 0.8 : 1 , 1.46 : 1 and 2 : 1 in the low, intermediate and high-grades respectively. Lymph node swelling was the main presentation among low and intermediate- grades NHL while abdominal complaints predominate in high .. grade NHL.
