Abstract In this study, 37 patients were studied, of who 17 patient had genital prolapse withOut stress urinary incontinence and 20 patients as a control group. The source of patients was the admitted cases to the Gynecology Departllent Mansoura University HospitaL .The major criterion for inclusion of patienta in the genital prolapse group is the preaence of Cystocele or hladder displacellent. The control group Included cases without urinary incontinence or genital prolape adllitted to the Gynecoiogy Department (ex .cases of infertility, dys-functional uterine hleeding and outpatient family planning clinic etC. ). The aim of the study is to evaluate the effects of genital pro- lapse on urinary function by preoperative urodynamic studies. and to evaluate the effect of the urgical repair of genital prolapse on urinary function postoperatively. In each patient a detailed history was taken including gynecologic urologic and neurologic biStory foUowed by a general and location. A prople of urine was investigated to detect urinary tract infection. Eacb patient was evaluated urodynaicaly by urinary floametry, re.ting and stre.s urethral presure profile. and by filling and provocative Cytoetry. After urgical repair of prople enrodynaic was repeated after at least 3 aonths. |
