Abstract All ~he ana~omical, physiological, pa~hological poin~s nificant to blepharoptosis surgery and the most recen~ ssifica~ions of blepharop~osiS were discussed in details the review of literature. Thirty lids of twenty four patients presented with genital ptosis with severe degree were subjected to eful preoperative assessement including vision, ocular bilities,Bell’sphenomenon, corneal sensitivity, tearing, aunt of levator action and any associated anomalies All thecases were operat.ed upont.hrough t.heanscutaneous approach and resection of about. 19-24 mm of cor rect.i o~t 27 cases 90%)) over e levat.or muscle with full rrecti on in 2 cases (6.7%) and under3%). l-cor recti on one caseAs regards the complications, t.wo cases showed mild greeof lagophthalmos,two cases showed temporary tropion and another two cases showed post operative lid. |
