Abstract Included in this study were patients with spring catarrh who presented to out-patients clinic of Mansoura University Hospital and ManS~ura Ophthalmic Hospital during the period from May to JulY 1986. The study were aimine to fulfil the rate of different clinical presentation of the disease as well as to compare clinically between the effects of thera¬peutics most commonly used in the treatment of the disease. It was found that the disease most co~nonly seen in male children during the hot season. Atopic history was not common. The highest incidence of the disease was met with the limbal and mixed type while it is lower in palpebral and corneal involvements. Corneal manifestations was rare with palpebral type while it is more in the limbal ty~e and more evident among patient with mixed type. symptomatic treatments can be achieved by using local antihistaminic vasoconstrictor and its effect was not infer¬ior to a great extant to the effect of local steroid but when structural treatment was to be gained, especially if the cases was associated with keratitis or ulcer, local steroid must be used. |
