Abstract
Fracture of tibial shaft is a common fracture and there are many methods for its treatemnt. In our work we have studied the common methods used in such fractures and the end result was evaluated in order to obtation a fixed and a safe method to be used as a routine in such fracture . This series was carried out in Orthopaedic and Traumatology Department , Mansou~a University Hospital. 154 patients with fracture of the tibial shaft were studied as regards the different methods used in such fracture Patients were of different ages and sexs Fractures were of different levels , shapes and types The youngest patient included was 16 years old, while the ,oldes?was £)3 years old. The ratio of females to males was 1 : 4.3 The causes of injuries were included as well as the associated injury with the tibial fracture .
