Abstract Lumbar disc prolapse has become a major medical and conomic problem due to, sedenlaty life, lack of exercises, use of modern transport vehicles. Both males and females are affected with the major part , male side. The choice of the proper surgical procedure with expected excellent results depends firist on the proper selection of the cases to be subjected to surgery. This can be achieved through clinical grounds and good correlation with the radiological finidngs. By this way we eleminate the chance of unindicated surgery. The results of this study favour the minimal exposure and minimal bone removal which”exhibits good outcome. So, in cases of prolapsed lumbar disc without centeral stenosis we recommend fenestration surgery for all cases. |
