Abstract

provides comprehensive electro diagnostic data for the median nerve, radial nerve and brachial plexus in the upper limb and for the atic nerve, tibial nerve, common peroneal nerve, and sural nerve in the Standardization of the technique along with the consideration of age, sex of a carefully screened, healthy Egyptian population of different ages is for appropriate interpretation of the electrodiagnostic studies. hundred healthy subjects participated in this study. Their ages ranged ,12 to 65 years with a mean of36.2 ±14.00 years. Off these subjects 104 es and 96 were females. They were classified according to age into 5 group I: Comprised 36 subjects ages (20 males and 16 females). Their ages aranged between 12 to 20 years with a mean of 15.86 ±2.36 years. group II: Comprised 38 subjects (21 males and 17 females). Their ages ranged between 21 to 30 years with a mean of26,16 ±2.56 years. group III: Comprised 46 subjects ages (22 males and 24 females). Their, ages ranged between 31 to 40 years with a mean of35.59 ±2.81 years. group IV: Comprised 44 subjects (23 males and 21 females). Their ages ranged between 41 to 50 years with a mean of 45.52 ±2.8 years. group V: Comprised 36 subjects (18 males and 18 females). Their ages ranged between 51 to 65 years with a mean of 56.53 ±3.56 years. volunteers are subjected to 1 Thorough history taking: with special attention to symptoms suggestive of neuromuscular involvement. 2 Thorough general examination.
